Exploring the agri-food world with the five senses

In front of a large number of visitors, exhibitors and professionals from the international food industry, the twenty-first edition of SIAL Canada was inaugurated on May 15, 2024 at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal.

The first day was an opportunity to present awards to the winners of the SIAL Innovation contest. The gold award was won by the Costa Rican company Tertulia with its coffee El Gusto. The silver and bronze awards were given to Canadian companies. Respectively, we refer to Dear Goodness with its Olivia Oil, and to La Presserie with its Authentic Asian Soups. The Packaging award was also presented to local (Montreal) company ABC Emballuxe Inc., which competed with an original pizza box.

In the SIAL Laitier (dairy) space, the presentation of the Best Canadian Cheese Merchant 2024 award took place, which was given to entrepreneur Amélie Tendland.

This edition of the SIAL Canada offers an interesting and varied program of activities, including food and beverage tastings, contests, conferences, exchanges with professionals and references linked to the agri-food sector and business rounds.

After touring the exhibition floors of the SIAL Canadaand exchange impressions with various protagonists of the event, Portal Agroalimentario The company has verified that this is an international initiative with a great promotional and economic impact.

Visitors can appreciate and learn about the properties of a diverse range of food products, equipment, specialized services, new technologies and textile articles for the gastronomic and hotel sectors. Also on display are various proposals and solutions in food packaging and everything necessary for the supply chain. And it should not be forgotten that each edition of SIAL Canada stands out as an ideal meeting point to access business opportunities.

The show has a shine of its own, backed by an impeccable organization, which is perceived with the five senses, through its various thematic proposals: gastronomy and food trends, knowledge, technology, innovation, marketing, social and environmental responsibility.

Another highlight of the 2024 edition is the presence of a wide range of natural and organic food products from different countries around the world.

It should be noted that the timetable for the visit to the International Food Exhibition for this Thursday, May 16 is from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, while for Friday, May 17, 2024 (last day) the schedule is from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
