SIAL 2024 Program Highlights

The International Food Show in Canada (SIAL Canada) is back and promises to be the most exciting meeting point for agri-food industry professionals. From May 15 to 17, the Palais des Congrès de Montréal will be the venue for the epicenter of innovation, trends and discovery in the world of food.

An anniversary that evidences an outstanding trajectory

This 21st edition of SIAL Canada will be special, as it coincides with the 60th anniversary of the SIAL network. It is an opportunity to reflect on six decades of advances in the food industry and to look to the future, exploring the new trends that are shaping the global food landscape.

The program of activities is engaging and diverse, with events ranging from prestigious competitions to interactive workshops and thematic forums presented by renowned experts. Highlights include the Best Canadian Cheese Merchant Contest, the SIAL To Go space exploring the "to go" in the industry, and the expected SIAL Innovation, which will reveal the most innovative products of the year.

On the first day of the event, which will be Wednesday, May 15, Canadian cheese lovers will have the opportunity to witness the competition in the SIAL Laitier space, where six talented candidates will compete in various tests to win the coveted title. Meanwhile, in the SIAL Inspire Drink space, attendees will be able to immerse themselves in the world of coffee in the morning and explore innovations in maple liqueurs in the afternoon.

Thursday, May 16 will be full of exciting events, including a competition for entrepreneurs in the space. SIAL Expert Hub and more activities in space Inspire DrinkThe event will highlight local Québec teas and offer a cocktail workshop with recognized experts in the sector.

Friday, May 17 will mark the event's grand finale, with activities ranging from tea brewing demonstrations to the competition between finalists in the Mixologist (or Bartender) of the Gala des Lauriers de la Gastronomie, who will compete to create exceptional cocktails.

Exchanges with recognized experts in the agri-food sector

In addition to the programmed activities, SIAL Canada offers visitors the unique opportunity to interact with industry experts at the SIAL Expert Center. From branding strategies to emerging technologies and food health issues, these experts will be available to provide personalized advice and answer live questions.

SIAL Canada 2024 promises to be an unforgettable event that brings together the best and brightest of the food industry.
