Dialogue on Agricultural Conscience in Uruguay

In an effort to strengthen the country's sustainable development and favor integration between urban and rural areas, Cooperativas Agrarias Federadas (CAF) has convened a meeting with national authorities to discuss the importance of Agricultural Conscience in Uruguay. The activity will take place on Thursday, July 27, starting at 11:30 a.m. at the headquarters of Fundación Verde, in Montevideo. 

Government authorities present at the CAF Annual Assembly

Among the prominent participants were the Minister of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries, Fernando MattosThe Minister of Labor and Social Security, Pablo MieresThe President of the Central Board of Directors of the National Public Education Administration (CODICEN), Robert SilvaThe officer in charge of FAO in Uruguay, Gonzalo Kmaidand the president of CAF, Pablo Perdomo.

The main topic on the agenda of the Annual Assembly will be the importance of promoting dialogue and collaboration between different stakeholders in the agricultural sector and national authorities. The progress and opportunities offered by the Agricultural Conscience for the sustainable development of the country will be discussed, especially in relation to agricultural and agroindustrial activities.

One of the key objectives of the meeting will be to highlight the importance of establishing an integrated vision that considers both the challenges and opportunities for responsible and sustainable food production. In this sense, successful experiences of work in the territory by CAF and its partner cooperatives will be shared, with the purpose of raising awareness of the challenges and opportunities for responsible and sustainable food production. boys and girls about the importance of "to produce quality food in a responsible and sustainable manner"..
