Punta del Este, Uruguay. The Latin American Poultry Congress will celebrate its twenty-eighth edition in Uruguay (Ovum 2024). This international event will be held from November 12 to 15, 2024 at the Punta del Este Convention & Exhibition Center, marking the first time that Uruguay hosts this important meeting. With the participation of more than 3,000 attendees, the congress promises to be a platform for exchange and development for the poultry industry.

The organization of Ovum 2024 is in charge of the Latin American Poultry Farming Association (ALA) which brings together the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, organizing this event biennially in different locations in South and Central America. On this occasion, Uruguay is positioned as a key destination on the regional and world poultry map.

High-profile conferences and trade show

The Latin American Poultry Congress will not only bring together a multitude of participants, but will also offer a series of high-level academic conferences. Topics to be covered include marketing, biosecurity, nutrition, pathologies, reproduction and incubation. These topics are fundamental to the advancement and innovation in the poultry sector, providing attendees with the tools and knowledge necessary to face current and future challenges.

In addition to the conferences, Ovum 2024 will feature a trade exhibition that will attract the main international companies in the poultry industry. This exhibition will allow technicians and entrepreneurs specialized in the poultry industry to connect, exchange experiences and establish new business relationships. The presence of these companies will not only strengthen the local industry, but will also contribute to Uruguay's visibility and reputation on the international poultry scene.

A milestone for Uruguayan poultry production and industry

The Asociación de Productores Avícolas Sur (APAS), which represents 65% of Uruguay's egg producers, will host the event, with the Punta del Este Convention & Exhibition Center as its strategic partner. Holding this congress in Uruguay is seen as an invaluable opportunity for the country's poultry sector. It not only highlights Uruguay's potential as a host for international events, but also underlines the importance of the poultry industry in the country's economy and development.

The celebration of Ovum 2024 in Punta del Este is a testimony to the growth and professionalism of the Uruguayan poultry sector. This congress will not only promote the exchange of knowledge and best practices, but will also boost economic development and innovation in the region.
