The twenty-fourth edition of Agroexpo, the most representative agroindustrial fair in Latin America, is scheduled to take place from July 13 to 23, 2023. ColombiaThe company has been operating in Central America and the Caribbean for more than 40 years.
The event, which is held every two years, seeks to promote the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and foster commercial and technological exchange among the different actors in the sector.
General information
The event will be held at the International Business and Exhibition Center of Bogota, Corferias. It has been established that the schedule for visitors will be from 10:00 to 20:00 hours. Thousands of people, exhibitors and professionals from the agribusiness sector are expected to attend.
The event is organized by Corferias and the National Union of Colombian Livestock Associations (UNAGA). Agroexpo is a meeting place for agricultural producers, manufacturers of agricultural machinery, suppliers of inputs and technologies, as well as buyers and consumers from all over the world.
Attendees can enjoy a wide variety of activities, such as animal exhibits, agricultural machinery demonstrations, conferences, workshops and tastings of agricultural products.
Conferences
Among the conferences, which can be attended by Agroexpo attendees, we highlight the following:
– From waste to fertilizer. How to valorize swine manure and obtain economic and environmental profitability. Lecture given by Octavio González, agronomist and commercial director of Soluciones Biotecnológicas y Agroambientales (Sobiotech).
– Economic outlook for the agrifood sector. Paper by Oscar Hernán Velásquez Arboleda, professor at the Politécnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid.
– Connected farm. How to take the best advantage of technologies to be efficient in productivity. Lecture given by Eduardo de la Maza, general manager of Novagri, a company that develops in the equipment, nutritional and animal health market for pig and poultry production in South America.
– Biosecurity in high health farms. Presentation by Gonzalo Mena from Veterquímica, a company with more than 50 years dedicated to animal health, animal nutrition, biosecurity and laboratory services.
– Seminar "Present and future of the dairy chain". Organized by the National Association of Milk Producers (ANALAC). Topics will include the sector's situation and consumption trends, advances in genetics based on end-consumer demand, and dairy farming for sustainable development.
